His contributions to Nova Roma are numerous, in a wide range of topics and types of activities, and it is the consensus of the best citizens that Claudius Quadratus is one of the most exemplary Nova Romans.
Besides his other talents, C. Claudius is the most experienced numismatic expert of Nova Roma. He is known as the organizer of many cultural contests where he generously offered real Roman coins out of his collection to the best contestants, and he is also notable for his yearly editions of Roman calendars and his annotated edition of the Res Gestae Divi Augusti. As a chess master, Quadratus also organized the first International Chess Championship in Nova Roma.
Since a few decades, C. Claudius Quadratus has been visiting Rome every year for a few weeks, which makes him almost as familiar with the Eternal City as Her inhabitants are. Quadratus is also a known for his cat shelter activism in the city of Rome, in Italy, where he is a long term patron and helper in taking care of the feral cats of the Largo Argentina district.
