Lucius Aurelius Severus was born a.d. IX Kal. Mar. MMDCCXXI (February 21, 1968) and has been a Roman citizen (#5237) since a.d. III Kal. Feb. K. Fabio T. Labieno cos. ‡ MMDCCLVI a.u.c. (January 30, 2003). He is of the Plebeian order. He has served as Scriba Propraetoris to Arnamentia Moravia Aurelia in America Austroccidentalis, and as Procurator under Proconsul Pompeia Minucia Strabo in Canada Orientalis.

He has served as Legatus Pro Praetore of Canada Citerior (then Canada Orientalis) since a.d. VI Kal. Dec. C. Buteone Po. Minucia cos. ‡ MMDCCLIX a.u.c. (November 26, 2006).

In ‡ M. Moravio T. Iulio cos. ‡ MMDCCLXI a.u.c. (2761 a.u.c., 2008 C.E.), Lucius Aurelius Severus spearheaded the campaign to change the name of Canada Orientalis to the more linguistically and historically correct name "Canada Citerior". With assistance from his colleague and fellow Roman, Gnaeus Iulius Caesar, Legatus Pro Praetore of Canada Ulterior (then Canada Occidentalis), Severus's efforts were rewarded on pr. Kal. Iun., MMDCCLXI a.u.c. (May 31, 2008 C.E.) when results of the May Senate session were announced, formally announcing that Senate had approved the name change. On a.d. IV Non. Iun. MMDCCLXI a.u.c. (June 2, 2008 C.E.), he signed Edictum Legatus Pro Praetore III-III - Renaming of Provincia, officially changing the name of Canada East.

He is father to Lucius Aurelius Severus Minor and Fiancé to Servia Octavia Insulana. His interests include Christianity, Roman History, Classical Music, Ballet, French Impressionism, Poetry, and Travel. He has been an ardent supporter of Factio Russata since he became a Roman Citizen.

He studied History and Philosophy at Nipissing University and resides in Ontario, Canada.
