Homo novus (Nova Roma)

Homo novus or novus homo ("new man") is a person who held curule magistracy first in his family. In Nova Roma, we consider family not only the direct genetical lineage of a citizen, but also those ancient Romans who belonged to a family indicated by the same nomen and cognomen combination.
