Presiding Magistrate
T. Domitius Draco, Consul (from 09:00 AM 15 March to 01:45 AM 14 July)
Q. Arrius Nauta, Consul (from 01:45 AM 14 July to 20:00 PM 7 October)
The session was first chaired by T. Domitius Draco consul, then due to the illness of the consul T. Domitius, the princeps senatus A. Tullia Scholastica transferred the presidency over the session to Q. Arrius Nauta, consul on 14 July in a Rule of Session, according to the SENATUS CONSULTUM DE RATIONE SENATUS MMDCCLXV, section X.C.5.f.
Consular Auspices
The auspices were taken in my name by pontifex Cn. Cornelius Lentulus Minor upon the standing authorization by augur C. Claudius Quadratus, and were favorable.
Consular Opening and Closing Ceremony
The Senate session was ritually opened and closed by a sacrificial ceremony by pontifex Cn. Cornelius Lentulus, in behalf of Consul Q. Arrius Nauta.
Quorum
The Senate of Nova Roma currently nominally has 28 voting members but only 17 can be counted for the quorum because the others are supporting the illegal corporate BoD. 17 voting members give a minimum quorum of 12 voting members. With 16 senate members present and with 1 present through proxy, the QUORUM IS ACHIEVED.
Proxy - Gaius Petronius Dexter was on Leave - his Proxy was assigned to Sextus Lucilius Tutor, but he returned, so there is no Proxy in this session.
There are 10 other senators in this Senate who do not participate in our sessions because they seceded from the republic and joined the faction conducting the “civil war”, led by Sulla, against the lawful government of Nova Roma. There are 3 other senators who are on unspecified leave and their membership in the Senate is suspended. For practical purposes, we do not count the 12 secessionists and the 3 on unspecified leave in the quorum.
The 17 voting members are (first those who are currently magistrates then in order of senatorial rank):
A. Tullia Scholastica – Censor, Censorial Senator, Princeps Senatus

L. Equitius Cincinnatus Augur – Censorial Senator
Pompeia Minucia Strabo – Consular Senator
