Nova Roma célkitűzése az ókori római kultúra tanulmányozása és restaurálása. A Város alapításától Kr. u. 330-ig, mikor megszünt a Birodalom közigazgatási központja lenni, Róma fektette le a modern nyugati civilizáció alapjait. Az Örök Város után 2750 évvel történt alapítása óta Nova Roma arra törekszik, hogy újra elhozza civilizációnk klasszikus aranykorát, nem karddal és légiókkal, hanem ismeretterjesztéssel és erkölcsi példamutatással.

Provinciae - Provinciák
Nova Roma számos provinciára tagozódik. Egy provincia magában foglalhat egy vagy akár több valóságos országot is, de olykor egyetlen országon belül több provincát kelett kialakítanunk. E proviciák nem szövetségi államok, mint az USA vagy Németország államai, hanem csupán a Szenátus által létrehozott közigazgatási egységek. A Szenátus, a Lex Vedia Provincialis hatálya alatt, bármikor felállíthat egy új provinciát vagy összevonhat már létező provinciákat egy Senatus Consultummal. A Szenátusnak áll jogában az is, hogy kinevezzen vagy leváltson kormányzókat.

Magisztrátusok és szenátorok

Elected annually, our magistrates are the executive officers of Nova Roma. Our magistracies are as close to those of the late Roman Republic as we can make them.

Senators are appointed by the Censores. Our Senate is patterned after that of the late Republic as well.

In April, 2003 the Senate of Nova Roma approved the purchase of a 10-acre ranch in Texas, USA (Nova Roma's Provincia America Austroccidentalis) to serve as our ager publicus This land is a confirmation of Nova Roma's existence as a viable organization with practical real world objectives.
