IV Conventus Novae Romae

The Fourth annual Conventus Novae Romae in Europa was held in Roma, Italia, from prid. Non. Sext. to a.d. IV Id. Sext. , Fr. Apulo C. Laenate cos. MMDCCLVIII a.u.c.. This Conventus was organized by Provincia Italia in collaboration with Associazione N.R.I. and Ars Convivialis. The official website is http://italia.novaroma.org/conventus2758/index.htm . Official lodging was at the conveniently located but now infamous Hotel Michigan.

A day of arrivals, meetings and an evening welcome from the hosts in Italia.

A walking tour in the Campus Martius, followed by a tour of the Capitoline Museums and the Tabularium.


d. III

Most of the day was spent exploring Ostia Antica. In the evening, some citizens set off on a walking tour of part of Rome.

Tour of the Roman Forum, the Palatine Hill and Colosseum. Togate citizens were ejected from the Roman Forum (no togas allowed). In the afternoon was a walk through the Domus Aurea.
