Talk:Consul (Nova Roma)

I don't know...
I don't know but I think the magistrate articles would be better if they contained a table with photos about the current magistrates.
This is a first try...: Consul (Nova Roma)

- No. It is a bad idea because this is already done in another place (once, in a template that is used on multiple pages, e.g. MMDCCLXI). The office holders also make their own "offices" with their photos. Those are not changed because they are kept from year to year. If we add photos to articles about the office it means that someone has to update all of these pages every year. This should be about the office, not the office holder. It is a huge duplication of effort for no benefit. Agricola 11:11, 30 September 2008 (CEST)
I think this should be moved back to "Consul (Nova Roma)" in order to deemphasise the Maior/Minor bit. Several have pointed out on the main list that there was no practical difference in rank between the two; as they're equals, let us make only brief mention of the distinction. Marcus Octavius Germanicus(t) 08:05, 16 June 2006 (CDT)
- I think the article makes clear that they are equals in most things, and there is a distinction. Mostly, though, it gives us a nice way to make an officina page for each, which just seems right to me. M. Lucretius Agricola 09:12, 16 June 2006 (CDT)
- I'd be inclined to agree with M. Octavius. When I created this page I did it so there would be something on the other end of a link I'd made, and initially I tried to make it a sub-heading on "Consul (Nova Roma)" but found I didn't know how to link to sub-headings. It would make more sense as a piece of information in the general "Consul" article. No need necessarily to cut down the content, but making it part of the larger article will avoid giving it too much prominence. Cordus 05:24, 17 June 2006 (CDT)
