Res Publica Novae Romae
Nova Roma is an organization dedicated to the study and restoration of ancient Roman culture. From its legendary founding in 753 BCE to 330 CE, when it ceased to be the center of Imperial authority, Rome set the standard and laid the foundation for our modern Western civilization. Rome civilized the world, and we see the need for that divine mission to be kept alive. Founded 2,750 years after the Eternal City itself, Nova Roma seeks to bring back those golden times. But where our ancestors imposed their will through the sword and the legions, we intend the same result through the spread of knowledge and through our own virtuous example. Provinciae - Provinces
Nova Roma is divided into a number of Provinciae. A provincia can comprise a single country or several, or on the other end of the spectrum, can be made up of sub-national units from a single country. Unlike provinces of Canada or American states, Nova Roman provinciae are creations of the Senate, the 'national' governing body. The Senate, under the Lex Vedia Provincialis, can create a new provincia or combine existing ones by Senatus Consultum. The Senate also has the power to appoint and replace governors.
Aerarium Saturni - Financial Documents
In ancient Rome, the Aerarium Saturni (so called because it was situated within the temple of Saturn) was the repository for all the official financial documents of the State. It also served as the official treasury. In Nova Roma, this function is revived, with all official documents and treasury reports of the quaestors available herein for the perusal of all at any time.
Annals of Nova Roma
Read the Annals of Nova Roma, from its Fl. Vedio M. Cassio cos. ‡ MMDCCLI a.u.c. to the present.

Magistrates and Senators
Magistrates are the executive officers of Nova Roma. They are elected annually. Our Magistracies are as close to those of the late Roman Republic as we can make them. Senators are appointed by the Censores. Our Senate is patterned after that of the late Republic as well.Tabularium - Laws, Edicts, Constitution
The Nova Roma Tabularium performs the same function as the original Tabularium, but now takes advantage of modern, electronic storage. It is our repository for most State records; laws, edicts, our constitution.
Ager Publicus - Our land
In April, 2003 the Senate of Nova Roma approved the purchase of a 10-acre ranch in Texas, USA. (Nova Roma's Provincia America Austroccidentalis.) This land is a symbol of Nova Roma's dedication to our future goal of a larger world capital. It is also is a confirmation of Nova Roma's existence as a viable organization with practical real world objectives.
