P. Claudius Caecus, initially known as Amulius Claudius Petrus, became a citizen in Fl. Vedio (II) M. Cassio (II) cos. MMDCCLIV a.u.c. and is one of the patricians of Nova Roma.

P. Caecus is a sodalis Palatinus within the public priesthood of Nova Roma.[1]

As aedilis curulis in M. Octavio L. Sulla (II) cos. MMDCCLV a.u.c., he was the first magistrate of the modern era to organize formal online events to celebrate the ludi. Since this time online celebration of the ludi has become a common method of celebrating within Nova Roma.[2][3]

P. Claudius Caecus was also the first webmaster for the province of Canada Citerior. He served in this capacity as scriba to Propraetor Po. Minucia Strabo.[4]

During the years of K. Buteone T. Labieno cos. MMDCCLVI a.u.c. and Cn. Salvio Cn. Equitio cos. MMDCCLVII a.u.c. P. Caecus took a leave of absence from Nova Roma to focus on his studies. During this time he contributed to Nova Roma as a private citizen when possible. [5]

P. Claudius Caecus is a practicing physician and holds a medical doctorate and is a current master of education candidate. Prior to this he first obtained a bachelor of medical science with a minor in ancient history. His main academic focus in this area has been the cult of Asclepius and Galenic medicine as practiced during the imperial era.
