The Hispania in Nova Roma is a subprovince of the Dioecesis Europae Celticae et Germanicae and as such currently doesn't have its own jurisdiction. Hispania of Nova Roma comprises Spain and Portugal.

Provincia Hispania of Nova Roma was founded on a.d. XIV Kal. Sext. Fl. Vedio (II) M. Cassio (II) cos. MMDCCLIV a.u.c., consisting of the country of Spain. Later Provincia Lusitania, which was founded in Portugal on a.d. III Non Sext. Fl. Vedio M. Cassio cos. MMDCCLI a.u.c., in the first year of Nova Roma as one of the first provinces of Nova Roma, was merged into Provincia Hispania due to its inactivity. From the province of Lusitania, Regio Lusitania was formed to administer the territory and citizens of the former province.

Currently, due to its inactivity, our Hispania province has been demoted to the status of subprovince and is organizationally joined up with the other subprovinces: Gallia, Germania and Thule (Britannia was part of this for a while, too), as part of the temporary umbrella unit the Dioecesis Europae Celticae et Germanicae. This dioecesis was put under the responsibility of a dux (governor-general), Cn. Cornelius Lentulus.

Cn. Cornelius Lentulus, the temporary legatus pro praetore (governor) of Provincia Hispania and dux of the Dioecesis of Europa Celtica et Germanica (Germania, Gallia, Hispania and Thule) has been chosen by the Senate, due to his successful work in revitalizing other inactive subdivisions of Nova Roma, and has been given the task to establish a solid structure, administration and basic, functioning community for Hispania. His task is to do the same reorganization in these provinces, and to give them back to local leaders as soon as possible.

The province has only one subdivision, Regio Lusitania (Portugal). It had an active municipium which si currently inactive: Complutum.

The dux et legatus pro praetore Cn. Lentulus is working on several projects for the vitalization of our province in Hispania.
