The Legio VII Gemina - Cohors I is an allied legion of Nova Roma in our Provincia Hispania which is dedicated to the study and recreation of the Legio VII Gemina in the context of the late Roman Empire, beginning in the early 4th century and continuing until the end of the 5th century.

Command
The ceremonial supreme commanders of all legions within Nova Roma are the consules of Nova Roma, and the praetores are the vice-supreme commanders. The provincial ceremonial commander-in-chief of the Legio VII Gemina (and all other legionary units in Provincia Hispania), is the dux of Dioecesis Europae Celticae et Germanicae and legatus pro praetore of Provincia Hispania, the governor, Cn. Cornelius Lentulus.
The actual commander of the legion, as the legatus legionis, or in Late Roman context, comes, who is Q. Valerius Celsus.
