BECOMING A CITIZEN

Notice: During the month of August, applications for citizenship may be delayed for up to 30 days.

Members of the Nova Roma, Inc. are citizens of the Nova Roman Republic. Nova Roman citizens enjoy various rights pertaining to citizenship.

All full right citizens have an official citizen ID account page in the album civium.

Probationary citizens

There are a number of probationary citizens who expect the end of the 90 days probationary citizenship period. They will be soon full Nova Roman citizens. Probationary citizens don't have a citizen account page in the album civium until they complete their probationary period.

Socii

Citizens who did not answer the last census are classified as disappeared citizens and their full citizenship rights are suspended, and instead of full citizenship, they have only a socius status. They can restore their full citizenship status by contacting the censores.

The full number of those who have legal ties to Nova Roma (full citizens, probationary citizens and socii combined) is: 3073.

  • The number of Nova Roman citizens is: 1353.
  • The number of probationary citizens is: 112.
  • The number of socii is: 1608.

Deceased citizens

Those of our fellow citizens who died as citizens of Nova Roma are held in the highest respect and Nova Roma honors them as the Manes of Nova Roma, never ceasing, in our prayers and rituals. There are currently 12 deceased citizens registered.
