SENATUS CONSULTUM STATUS INFORMATION

The Senate was devastated to learn about the very grave disease of A. Tullia Scholastica, the three-times censor, twice consul, multiple times awarded senatrix of Nova Roma, our princeps senatus, first senator.


I. In our deep worry, we turn to Aesculapius, Apollo Medicus and Fortuna for help, and according to the mos maiorum, we order a five days of supplicationes by the state and people of Nova Roma.


II. All magistrates and priests shall offer a sacrifice for five days between a.d. VII and a.d. III. Id. Ian (7-11 January).


II.A. The text of the prayer and the guide to the ritual will be provided by the Collegium Pontificum.


II.B. Magistrates are, as usual and normal, allowed to delegate the duty of the ritual to someone who does it in their name.


III. All senators, equestrians and citizens are called to participate in the supplicatio. The Collegium Pontificum shall publish the text of the prayer and guide to the ritual.
