The Provincia of America Cismississippiana in Nova Roma comprises the modern day U.S. states of Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia and Florida. For administrative purposes, the provincia is intended to be divided into 'regiones', geographically corresponding to modern political districts, if there will be sufficial civic activity within the area. Each regio will be then assigned a praefectus or legatus, who would serve as the lieutenant-governor of the regio. Currently there are no regiones established in our provincia. The provincia is administered by a propraetrix (female version of the term propraetor), a governor appointed by the senate of Nova Roma, M. The governor can also appoint legati, praefecti, and various apparitores, such as scribae and praecones. All of these have different titles (see the Cohors Praetoria). The provincia is not a self-governing entity, rather it is managed by the governor who acts according to the will of the senate of Nova Roma.
