P. Ullerius Stephanus Venator (once known as Stephanus Ullerius Venator Piperbarbus) has been a Nova Roman citizen since a.d. X Kal Sext. Fl. Vedio M. Cassio cos. MMDCCLI a.u.c.. He first joined the New Rome to honor part of his maternal heritage. He withdrew from public life on Kal. Dec. Q. Arrio (II) T. Domitio (III) cos. MMDCCLXXIII a.u.c., but he keeps his citizenship because he continues to believe that Nova Roma is worthwhile. In the past, he had the honor to achieve the consulship and has served Nova Roma as a senator for over a decade. He founded the Gastronomy Society of Nova Roma. As the poet laureate of Nova Roma, he is notable for having composed the Tenth Anniversary Hymn and the Concordia Hymn of Nova Roma.

He was born nearly a half century ago in Nova Britania (a.d. IV Id. Mar. Interregnum ‡ MMDCCX a.u.c), in the western part of Massachusetts, and spent the first half of that period living there. He did moderately well in his primary and secondary schools. He fared, fairly, in college (eventually attaining an Associate's degree in Business Studies).

He is a noted poet within the Religio Septentrionalis (the native beliefs of the Germanic-Nordic Tribal Peoples, to which he reawakened on a.d. VIII Id. Quin. Interregnum ‡ MMLDCCXLII a.u.c.) and amongst his Roman friends. He has also gained note for the content and character of his prose essays on many topics. He enjoys wide-ranging conversation of either entertaining or enlightening nature.

His skills in the kitchen and brew room bring pleasure to family and friends alike. He is also an armorer, cutler, gun smith, decorative metal smith, tailor, leather crafter and wood wright. His interests range from the Neolithic to the Nanolithic, as evidenced by the many 1000's of books, booklets, magazines, printouts, records, tapes, CD's and DVD's in his home.

In the broader community, he makes his living mostly in retail sales and a little from his writing and other creative ventures. He is a US Military Veteran, Freemason, Hunters' & Firearms Safety Instructor, hunter, archer, rifleman, camper, conservationist, bird watcher, woods walker and so forth.

He loves learning (mostly in a nontraditional manner) and sharing what he has learned. He is addicted to solving crosswords.

He is staff to three cats: Hildiekatt Half-shadow the Harrier, Chesapeake Bandylegs the Hunter and miss Teia Honey. He remembers fondly: Lily, Babycat, Tiger, Tuna Cat, Queen Victoria Grey, Calamity Jane Grey, April Dancer , Cerridwen Blythe and Silver Kestrel the Ransacker. He is fond of excess when naming his pets.

Most importantly, he has been the steadfast husband of Annia Megas Machinatrix since a.d. VI Kal. Quin. Interregnum ‡ MMDCCXXXVII a.u.c., and been her one and only (and she his) since a.d. IV Non. Feb. Interregnum ‡ MCMLXXVIII a.u.c.
