One of the magistracies of Nova Roma.
There are in total four aediles, two aediles curules and two aediles plebis.
Requirements and competencies
- Requirements
To stand for election as aedilis curulis, a potential candidate is required to be:
- at least 21 years old as of the effective date of office;
- assiduus, i.e. to pay her/his annual tax to Nova Roma Treasury.
- Competencies
The domain of authority of the aediles curules includes two kinds of fields:
1/ General aediles competencies
- Organization of the ludi, the public games
- State properties maintenance
- Public religious events order
- Other festivals
- Other events
2/ Specific curule competencies
- Aedician Fund specially Magna Mater Project
- Macellum
- Equites
