Marcus Lucretius Agricola
Album Civium

M. Lucretius holds a B.A. in Classics and an M.A. in TESOL and Applied Linguistics.

He is a full-time lecturer in the Department of Foreign Languages at a mid-size private university in Japan. There he is the chair of the Department's Committee on Extensive Reading. His publications center on the use of technology in the classroom, but he is now writing on the use of graded readers and extensive reading programs. In addition to English language courses he also teaches courses on culture and technology.

In his free time he does photography using (non-automatic) film cameras. His subjects are usually related to the traditional culture of Japan; castles, shrines, temples and festivals. One of his photos was recently used by National Public Radio in the USA.

In the USA he holds a private pilot's license, but he has not exercised that privilege for many years. He is a fan of the author William Gibson.
