Former Consular and censorial Senator T. Iulius Sabinus was the founder and proconsul of Provincia Dacia.

Iulius Sabinus was born in Dacia Malvensis, in a small town, build over a Roman fortress which was part of the ancient Roman border, well known as 'Limes Alutanus' and currently lives in Oppidum Bucurestium. He is the pater familias of the Iulii Sabini and his familia is composed of his wife Arria Carina and his son T. Sabinus Crassus.

During his consulship with M. Piscinus, Nova Roma celebrated the Tenth Anniversary of its founding. As consul, he organized the VI Conventus Novae Romae and the Nova Roma-section of the Novae - 2008 European Roman Festival, in honor of the Tenth Anniversary of the Nova Roman Republic.

T. Iulius Sabinus has the honor to serve as pontifex maximus of Nova Roma and sacerdos of the Aedes Mercuri.

His interests include all things Roman, starting with Roman religion and culture, Roman art and civilization, up to reenactment and restoration, with respect for both Roman Gods and Roman Ancestors.
