Consular and censorial Senator T. Iulius Sabinus is the founder and current proconsul of Provincia Dacia.
During his consulship with M. Piscinus, Nova Roma celebrated the Tenth Anniversary of its founding. As consul, he organized the VI Conventus Novae Romae and the Nova Roma-section of the Novae - 2008 European Roman Festival, in honor of the Tenth Anniversary of the Nova Roman Republic.
T. Sabinus had the honor to serve as the fourth pontifex maximus of Nova Roma from a.d. XII Kal. Dec. ‡P. Memmio K. Buteone (II) cos. ‡ MMDCCLXIII a.u.c. to a.d. XI Kal. Quin. ‡P. Ullerio C. Equitio cos. ‡ MMDCCLXIV a.u.c. and currently serve as the sixth pontifex maximus of Nova Roma since a.d. VIII Kal. Feb. ‡ St. Cornelia C. Aemilio cos. ‡ MMDCCLXVII a.u.c..
T. Iulius Sabinus was born in Dacia Malvensis, in a small town, build over a Roman fortress which was part of the ancient Roman border, well known as 'Limes Alutanus'.
T. Sabinus currently lives in Oppidum Bucurestium. He is the pater familias of the Iulii Sabini and his familia is composed of his wife Arria Carina and his son T. Sabinus Crassus.
His interests include all things Roman, starting with Roman religion and culture, Roman art and civilization, up to reenactment and restoration, with respect for both Roman Gods and Roman Ancestors.
